Contact the Toastmaster in advance to say you can attend the evening.
If you have time, sit at the back with the videographer the week before to learn how it’s done.
Arrive early and ensure that the camcorder is charged, disks are plentiful and tripod (should you wish to use it) is set up. You will need to ensure that you are located near an electrical socket and a steady surface during the break so you can ‘finalize’ disks before handing them to the speakers.
Please double check with speakers on the night to determine if they wish to have their speeches recorded.
Hand recorded disks to the appropriate speaker at the end of the evening.
