Come to the meeting with paper and pen.
Draw up a sheet of paper with a line down the middle – good on one side and for improvement on the other side.
As the topics performers are called make a brief note of the topic and the speaker in the margin.
Find one commendation and one recommendation for each speaker.
It can help if you choose one thing to focus on such as eye contact, body language, use of words or speech structure
Keep the advice specific e.g. your body language is very good but small (demonstrate), I would like it if you were to make your gestures larger such as (demonstrate).
To keep within your time limit, you need to make this snappy and focus on giving each performer only one commendation and one recommendation.
If you find while you are writing your notes that you cannot spot enough things or if the speaker is particularly brilliant, you can evaluate them by explaining why they were so brilliant, something like “Bob did a brilliant topic because he did x, this is something we can all learn from”.
